Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Vintage additions (1977-1974)

*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise said) and all were under $.50/shipped.

Last post you saw the vintage from 1978-1980. Tonight, we'll finish the vintage purchases from the last couple of weeks.

This 1977 Topps brings me to 5.3% (35 of 660).

Not much to say about this card that hasn't been said before. You gotta love the Expos colors.

These 2 1976 Topps put me at 21.52% completed (142 of 660).

Not a huge fan of this set and these 2 cards of the Braves show why. I think the set would be pretty cool if they had used the team colors on the cards instead of the oddball colors that they do. I do like the logo for second base though.

These 4 1975 Topps put me at 3.03% completed (20 of 660).

My feelings about the 1975 set are pretty much the same as the 1976 set, should have used the team colors and the set would have been better.

These 4 1974 Topps put me at 11.36% (75 of 660).

I don't mind the 1974 Topps set, at least I do more than the previous 2. I do wish more vintage sets would have used team logos on the front of cards.

That's all of my vintage pick ups from the last couple of weeks. My next posts will do with the player pick-ups. I also got confirmation that my Just Commons shipment got mailed today so hopefully I'll have that by the end of the week.

  1. The 74 set is one of my favorites for the simple reason it's the first set I completed from ripping packs as a kid. Nice additions

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
