Another autograph addition

The magical mailbox decided to bless me with 4 envelopes this afternoon. I only have one more card that I'm bidding on and them I'm out for a bit. I still have quite a few cards coming so the blog will keep on rolling for a week or two.

Let's check out today's cards.

1980 Topps
You can never go wrong with some vintage, especially when it's a player collection and a Hall of Famer. I grabbed this for $.41/shipped.

2016 Topps Archives

1992 Bowman Foil
I got 2 Jim Abbot cards in the mail today from 2 different sellers. Sadly, one is a Yankees but I can't do anything about that. The Archives came to me for $.40/shipped and the Bowman for $.38/shipped.

2015 Topps Chrome Autograph
Last but not least, another White Sox auto. I've gotten a few of these recently and still have a few more. Micah Johnson was supposed to be our answer at 2nd but after a few tries, he ended up getting sent over to the Dodgers in a trade which I believe is where he resides now. This came to me for $2.95/shipped.

Hump Day Delivery

I got 3 envelopes with 3 cards today in the mail. A player collection and 2 White Sox Collections are represented.

1999 Topps
I do have a little love for the 1999 set, when I came back to collecting after leaving as a kid, this was the set that I came back into and I had a ton of them. After all, I was now an adult and was paying for my own stuff. This Ripken has a good action shot but it almost looks like it was during warm-ups. Oh well. I paid $.54/shipped.

2016 Topps Berger's Best
You got excited didn't you? Well don't, it's a reprint. Although I do already have the original so there is that. This came for $.38/shipped.

2004 Upper Deck SP Prospects Autograph Bonus
A seriel numbered autograph card for under $2, sure I'll take that. I hadn't heard of him but it is technically a Sox card. I only paid $1.40/shipped for it.

2 Days of Envelopes

I had a busy day yesterday so I didn't get to post the 3 cards I received so I'll add them to the 3 cards that I got today. I came to my wife working in the yard so I helped shovel out some spots to plant plants and then had a late softball game so I didn't get home until 10 and after showering and eating, I was ready for bed. It was one of those rare days where I didn't even pick up my laptop.

Let's get to it.

1982 Topps
I added this card to the Vintage collection even though it was a secondary card to the one below it. It was listed in the title but the only photo was the card below so I only bid for the 1.

1981 Topps
This was the card I bid on for the Steve Carlton collection. I won the lot for $.49/shipped so according to my records I got this card for $.25 and the 1982 Topps for $.24/shipped.

1985 Topps
Sticking with the 80's card, we'll show off the latest addition to the Mike Schmidt collection. I was surprised I didn't have this but I didn't. I picked it up for $.50/shipped.

1993 Leaf

2013 Panini Prizm
I grabbed 2 more for the Fisk collection, one for the each of the Sox's. The 1993 Leaf came to me for $.30/shipped. The Panini was had for $.40/shipped.

2014 Panini Rookies & Stars Dress for Success
To change gears a bit, I also picked up this relic piece from Denard Robinson for his collection. It actually came from the same seller as the 1985 Schmidt above and it was free shipping as well so it ended up being sent to me for $2.04.

42 All-Star Appearances in this post

4 more cards on what has become housework day. Saturday's have been my mow the lawn, weedwack and whatever else I need to get done day. Today I did those 2 plus took down an old satellite dish off my roof and dug out the firepit, along with a few other minor repairs. When all was said and done, I walked out to the mailbox and grabbed the mail, gave my wife the bills and kept the rest. 4 envelopes for 6 cards. Although 1 card wasn't part of my collection and the other ended up being a dupe so 4 new cards for the collections.

1993 Fleer Ultra
One for Fisk and I believe I still have at least 1 more coming. A few of his cards got listed recently and I've been grabbing them up. This one came to me for a dime shipped.

1996 Pinnacle
I actually picked this up in a lot of 3 of these Pinnacle checklists, I bid on it for the card below and didn't realize this one was in it so I ended up with 2 out of 3 cards for the collection. I paid $.50 for the lot and only needed 2 cards so that puts this card at a quarter. This card goes to the White Sox Collection.

1996 Pinnacle
This was the card I wanted from the lot, another Ripken. This one also gets marked at a quarter shipped.

1961 Topps
I also grabbed this 1961 Topps for the White Sox collection and it only cost me $.54/shipped. You can never go wrong with a 60's card for that price.

4 card Friday

After 2 days of no cards, I finally came home to 4 in the mail today. Let's check it out before I get to an announcement.

1999 Upper Deck Powerdeck Auxillery

1994 Donruss
I picked up 2 more Ripkens. I find it odd that after getting another the disc of Powerdeck earlier in the week, that I also land the Auxillery insert. I'm almost positive they were different sellers as well. I grabbed the UD for $.50/shipped and the Donruss checklist for $.41/shipped.

2013 Topps Allen & Ginter's Across the Years
One more for the Johnny Bench collection, another modern day one at that. I got this A&G insert for $.30/shipped.

2001 Upper Deck SP Game Used Edition Authentic Fabrics
Picked up another Sox relic, although I'm not sure if it's actually a White Sox piece of fabric being as it's blue. It could be a throwback jersey but I don't know that they were using those often back then. I don't know and it doesn't matter, it's listed as a White Sox card so it is. I got this for $2.46/shipped.

My announcement is that I'm going to be cutting back, way back on my purchases. It's not that we are struggling again or anything but I have a few things I need to purchase for my personal use. I told the wife that I would cut back so I could afford the other purchases. So the blog will still be active for a couple of week because I still have bids out but after everything comes in, the posts will cut back. I will probably just divert my time to my other card blogs but I'll still post here occasionally, if anything, some random card posts.

21 card salute for the day after Independence Day

Apparently since there were 2 days off from the mail service, they bombed me with 6 envelopes today so let's just get to it. We'll start with the White Sox collection pick ups.

2011 Topps Cognac ($.54)

2009 Upper Deck Sweet Spot ($.10)

2004 Upper Deck Reflections ($.30)

2012 Bowman Chrome Prospects Blue Refractor #'d/250 ($.16)

2011 Bowman Prospects Blue #'d/500 ($.40)

2010 Bowman Chrome Blue Refractor #'d/150 ($.17)
The Peavy came from 1 seller, all the rest came from another. Great prices for some serial numbered Sox cards.

2016 Topps Heritage ($.40)
My first AJ as a brave but then again, I have no other 2016 cards, or 2015 of him.

2016 Topps Heritage ($.40)

2011 Bowman Blue ($.15)
2 more for the Ryan Zimmerman collection. The Heritage came from the seller of the AJ Heritage and the Blue card came from the seller with all the blue refractors for the Sox collection.

2016 Topps Heritage ($.40)
1 more Chris Sale and from the same guy from the other Heritage.

2016 Topps Heritage ($.40)
Another heritage from the same seller (last one), this one for the Steve Carlton collection.

2000 Upper Deck Powerdeck ($.36)

1996 Clear Assets Phone Card ($.38)
2 oddball Ripkens. The Powerdeck CD was cool back in the day but my laptop doesn't even have a disc drive anymore.

2001 Donruss Elite #'d/1000 ($.30)
Always happy to get more Crede and a numbered one at that. Also came from the same seller as the other numbered (blue) Sox cards.

1995 Upper Deck SP Salute ($.48)
I even managed to grab another Mike Schmidt card, a die cut from the same seller as most of the above (blue and numbered cards).

1993 Topps Pre-Production Sample ($.54)

I posted the back of this card so you could see the sample spot. One for the Fisk collection. I checked out the actual 1993 Topps and it's pretty much the same photo but it's cropped differently.

1993 Topps ($.30)
Another Gary Carter for that collection and it looks to be a great shot with who I'm guessing is the crime dog, Fred McGriff.

2001 Upper Deck Decade 70s Bellbottomed Bashers ($.16)

2002 Upper Deck World Series Heroes ($.17)
2 more Johnny Bench's for that collection. Both cards are post career cards but for $.33 total, you can pass that up.

2008 Upper Deck Draft Edition ($.46)
One more Mike Hart, that 2 in 2 weeks which is a rarity, I don't come across too many of his cards anymore.

2008 Razor Signature Series ($2.76)
Last but not least, a Zach Putnam autograph for the Michigan collection. I actually have one of these but I couldn't pass up another one for under $3. He is also currently on the Sox roster so there is that. Although I think he's on the DL. Since it's a dupe, I would send it to Dennis, but I'm pretty sure he sent me my first one so I'm pretty sure he has it. If not, Dennis, let me know.

Lots of PC's

I received 4 envelopes today but the majority of the cards came from 1. I got a total of 11 cards and 7 of those came from that one seller. All were player collections but one.

1981 Fleer
This is the one Vintage collection card I picked up and it was one of the 7. I picked it up for $.06/shipped.

1983 Topps
2012 Panini Cooperstown
I picked up 2 more Gary Carter's, one vintage, one modern. The Topps I picked up for $.18/shipped and the Panini for $.21.

2011 Topps Gypsy Queen
Sticking with the Hall of Famer Catchers, here's the one card of Johnny Bench that I nabbed. I would have guessed I had this card but apparently not. I got this one for $.25/shipped.

2012 Panini Cooperstown
Sticking with the Hall of Famers, uh, battery, here's the one card of Tom Seaver that I got for $.31/shipped.

1993 Topps Black Gold
1996 Topps Finest
2012 Panini Cooperstown
I picked up 3 more of the former Maize and Blue star, and Hall of Famer Barry Larkin. The Black Gold I got for $.27, the Finest for $.30 and the Panini for $.21.

2008 Upper Deck Draft Edition
Sticking with the Maize and Blue, this card goes to the Mike Hart collection but it also features Jake Long in their famous winged helmets. I picked up this card for $.32.

2014 Topps Tier One New Guard Autographs
I picked up this autograph of the just called up to go on the DL White Sox rookie, Matt Davidson. He's the 2nd player to get called up to only end up on the DL. At least he got 2 at bats before his injury, including a hit and an RBI. This came to me for only $1.54/shipped.

2008 Upper Deck Game Materials
I also managed to grab another White Sox relic card of Mr. Perfect, Mark Buehrle. This came to me for only $2.75/shipped.
