My 1st Trade

Completed my first trade last week with Eric from Manupatches & Chrome Scratches. He was a great help to me with my first trade on giving me advice on what people expect and gave me the confidence that others would be willing to trade. Thanks Eric! Here’s some of the highlights of what he sent me.

The Mark Buehrle highlight from his no-no was great, I remembered watching that game on TV. The Frank Thomas would be my first of my collection since I’m restarting it. Eric sent a couple of him too. I really liked the Ramirez 206 mini as well.

Of course you can’t go wrong with a Sale and Morel rookie. Some may know Chris Sale from the end of last year and he’s gotten some press but Brent Morel won out the starting job at 3rd this year and am looking forward to some good things from him. He played well before the team slump that they’ve been in for awhile now.

I really like the documentary cards. I had a few of them before but Eric was gracious enough to send me a bunch of them. I would think that the MLB teams themselves would put out a set like this where they highlight every game of the season. I think that would be good for the fans and could maybe get some more kids into cards before our hobby completely dies off.

All in all, a great trade with Eric. Be sure to check out his blog – Manupatches & Chrome Scratches. I’m getting pumped about this trading online and am looking forward to many more to come.

  2. I don't have much in Dodgers because I traded with a couple of other Dodgers collectors. But I may have a few of the players you collect. Probably no more than a few though as I don't buy a lot of packs, just some here and there.

  3. Glad you liked the cards. And the scans of the Sox cards sure does look good with the color design of you blog. Thanks again for the trade!

  4. No, thank you. For getting me going on this ride that I'm loving right now. I've already started another pile for you. Not much there yet but you never know how long it will take to get up there. I'll be sure to let you know.

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
