Quick question

I have a quick question.  I’m going to try to work on my have or for trade list.  Which is the best way to list it?  By teams or by sets?  I know a lot of collectors that collect their favorite teams but I know a lot of you are also trying to complete sets.  I may even do it both ways as I don’t have an overabundance of cards at the moment.  Which is why I’m going to do the list now, because I have the delusion as I buy more, I’ll add them to the list as I go.  That’s the plan, whether that happens or not, we’ll see.  So leave me a comment and tell me which you prefer to see.  Even if you don’t plan on trading with me, let me know your preference on how you prefer to browse.

  1. If you do it by set than set collectors can look at it and the team collectors can pick through it. If you do it by team it would be very hard for a set collector to go through it.

  2. Hey Jeff. Have you ever heard of Zistle (http://zistle.com)? If you put your wantlist/tradelist on Zistle - anyone can view it and sort by either team or set. Sorry for the shameless plug but I saw your tweet and thought you might be interested.

  4. I have a zistle account but the whole uploading lists got confusing and I haven't been back to play around on it to figure it out. Maybe I'll go play with it again.

  5. I am probably in the minority, but the only time listing by set is convenient for me is if I have my doubles organized. Which is almost never! That zistle thing looks cool though. It eliminates the need for duplicate lists, but the up front work is a lot.

  6. I'd say use a Google Docs spreadsheet and do it by set, then put the team names in as well and people can sort or filter it down if they want. Just an idea...

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
