I have the Mantle ring. When I first realized I had the ring everyone wanted, it was because I heard someone had it for sale on Ebay. It was at $810. I was going to sell mine, but Ebay put a stop to selling the virtual rings. I'm going to just get my ring from Topps and see what the secondary market says about it. If it's not enough, I'll keep it.
You're right, that is ridiculous.
ReplyDeletewell technically it is for a diamond ring.
ReplyDeleteI understand that, but I would think you would just sell the ring when you get it. Is there any guarantee on what the ring is worth?
ReplyDeleteI think they are only producing a certain amount and each ring has 50 individual diamonds on it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think you could eBay something that isn't tangible, and a virtual Mantle ring isn't tangible.
ReplyDeleteI believe Smed is right, and if someone alerted eBay it would get pulled down.
ReplyDeleteAnd that guy has 27 diamond die cuts? How rare can these things actually be? It seems like they are everywhere...
