Vintage Collection–the rest

As you can tell in the title, I don’t have many more vintage to go so I don’t need to break the decade up in 3 posts like I did the 1970’s.

A black hatted Montreal Expos card.  You totally can’t tell he was in a Pittsburgh Pirates uniform in this picture.  Got to love the vintage for the photoshopping skills.  We’ve come a long way now.

And a couple of 1960’s.  We breezed right through that decade, didn’t we?  I like this set.  Player name, team and/or logo, plus you get 2 photo’s, a headshot and action shot.  what’s not to love.

And last but not least, this 1959 comes from Dennis of “Too Many Verlanders”.  He actually picked up 2 of these, 1 for my White Sox Collection and this one for my Vintage Collection.  He’ll probably tell you he did that because I needed 2 copies, but he already fessed up to me and said he didn’t realize he bought 2.  But all is good, because I needed them both.

  1. Being a Padre fan, the 1969 cards are the oldest in my (team) collection. Those "black hat" cards are pretty rough on the eyes, but still cool to have. Makes me appreciate the handful of '69 Padre cards that AREN'T photoshopped.
