Player Collection additions

My cousin, whom I refer to as “Sluggo” here, sent me another box of Chicago White Sox cards.  He usually sends me a box or 2 every 6 months or so.  He generally buys out people’s collections and whatever he can’t really get rid of, he sends my way.  I usually end up with quite a few dupes, but I’ll keep the ones I don’t have.  He sometimes sends me other cards from my Player Collections if he remembers who I collect.  You’ll see the Denard Robinson cards he sent me over at Too Many Manninghams.  The rest, you’ll see here.

He sent me these 2 for the Tom Seaver collection.  A 1992 Kellogg’s All-Star and a 2012 Topps Allen & Ginter’s Baseball Highlights Sketch.  He sent me a few other Seaver’s but I already had them, and a couple went to the vintage collection as well.

These 2 were probably sent because they were White Sox.  I don’t think he knew I had a player collection of his.  They are a 1998 Upper Deck Retro and a 1989 Upper Deck.

These 3 were also probably sent just because they were White Sox cards.  They are 2013 Bowman Chrome, 2014 Bowman Platinum and a 2013 Topps Chrome.

Lastly, one of the Player Collections he did know about.  He sent me a bunch for the Paul Konerko Collection.

First, the lone Cincinnati Reds card.

Next, what most of you are here for (let’s face it, there’s a lot of bloggers for this team), the Los Angeles Dodgers cards.

Along with all of those great LA Dodger cards, he even sent me one White Sox card that I needed.

As I was logging in these cards he sent me, I noticed that he helped me break the 300 card mark with Paul Konerko.  306 to be exact.

So as you can see, I got a lot of great cards from him.  He said he’s about ready to ship me another box because he bought out another collection.  I tried to get him into blogging so he could trade with all of you but he says he doesn’t have the time.  As long as he keeps sending me cards then I guess I’m ok with it.

  1. Your cousin needs to accidentally put my address on a box or two or 17.
