*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise said) and all were under $.50/shipped.
Last post we saw my White Sox additions, today, we'll check out the vintage pick-ups. As usual, we'll start with the kids and work our way to the old folks.

These 5 1980 Topps bring that set to a completion of 12.12% (92 cards of 726)
I love getting 1980's cards because I started collecting in 1981 but there were still plenty of these around at the time so I had quite a few.

This 1979 Topps bring that set to a completion of 8.26% (60 cards of 726)
Only 1 of the 1979 Topps this time, but as you can see, I have 60 cards from this set so I must usually pick them up at a decent pace.

These 5 1978 Topps bring that set to a completion of 11.16% (81 cards of 726)
I always liked this set, I think it's the cursive team name that attracts me to it. I got a card up there that looks like my dad (I've never noticed that before) and also a Topps All-Time rookie so you know he had to of had a great career (spoken with sarcasm).
That's 1 card over half of the vintage cards I've gotten in the last couple of weeks so you'll have to check out the rest in the next post.
Hey Jeff, I have a few cards I can send, along with a program from Paul Konerko Day at the Cell. Pretty sure you'd want them, but just let me know and I'll send them off.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well.
Rob
i have cards all 4 sports most in mint i will give you the cards you need if i have them. 1970 - 2014 you can have them for free or maybe we can trade i have a lot of rookie hall of fame'rs allstars all four sports i just dont like doubles or triples of cards i would like to see someone who woulod enjoy them have them
ReplyDeleteI would love to trade but I truly have no cards to send you. I only purchase cards for my collections and no longer buy packs so I don't have any extra cards to give. If you want to send them my way, I'm certainly not going to complain but I'd understand if you didn't want to. I don't have your email address so if you could send it my way (jccsst1022 at gmail dot com) and I can reply directly to you.
