1990 Giants card

1992 Dodgers card

1993 Expos card

Cards listed on TCDB - 4,511

Cards I have - 141

All the above cards are post career. I have 106 playing days cards and 35 post career.

Where they came from -

  • Ebay (84 cards)
  • Just Commons/Card Barrel (12 cards)
  • Unknown (12 cards)
  • Sluggo (10 cards)
  • Too Many Verlanders (7 cards)
  • 2x3 Heroes (6 cards)
  • Sportlots (5 cards)
  • Card Show (3 cards)
  • Fred (1 card)
  • North Carolina (1 card)
  • Pack (1 card)

Over half came from Ebay but I'm betting Sportlots will be up there by this time next year as I continue through my player collections.

I only have 1 relic card which isn't surprising when it comes to the older guys since I tend to buy cheapies.

I collect Gary Carter because I was a Mets fan growing up. I watched those World Series games in 1986 as a Mets fan.

RIP Gary Carter!

*All cards shown are in my collection but the photos are from TCDB.

  2. Hard to believe it's been 9 years since he passed away. Seems like only a few years ago. As for his cards, I normally prefer seeing Carter representing the Expos... but that Stadium Club card of him putting on his gear in the dugout is fantastic.

  3. Another Mets fan and Carter collector here. I do have a couple of autos of him...need to get a rookie card to complete my trifecta. Been bidding on eBay, but I'm trying to cheap out, too!

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
