Vintage 60's

I took a day off from posting yesterday because we had a fundraiser at work today and we had to prepare 21 pounds of Sloppy Joe so needless to say, I was exhausted.

Today's random gives a vintage post, and a true vintage as it's not 80's. I've said before that I always buy a minimum of 4 cards from each seller on Sportlots and when you open their page, the oldest cards are listed first so sometimes I'll browse those to find a card or 2 that I need for $.18.

We'll start off with this Gary Bell from 1968. When it comes to the 60's, I have a long way to go with all these sets, this is only my 42nd card of the set.

Next up is this Don Landrum, at least this one has a hat with a logo, not that it's any more interesting than the Bell. This is only my 27th card from the 1964 set.

I also picked up a couple more from 1961. I usually take the first card I need at $.18 so I'm surprised that I have 3 out of 4 Cubs cards in this post. These 2 give me 22 for that set.

I went and checked my 60's set just to see which one I had the most of. It was 1969 with a whopping 51 cards. I told you I didn't have many. I'm willing to bet the majority of my 60's cards are White Sox cards as well.

  1. Were those all $0.18 each? They look great for the price if that's the case!

  2. I don't think that I've ever seen any vintage cards for 18¢ on Sportlots before.

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
