I've been knocking out the posts this week. Here I thought next week I would be knocking them out since I'm having surgery on Monday and will be home for the next 2 weeks. This will be my 5th day in a row posting. I must be sick.

As you can tell from above, today's is the 1980 Topps set. These also all came from the Facebook purchase that Dennis hooked me up with. Really like the Quisenberry rookie and the Astros jerseys (even if everybody is hating on them these days.) You also get the Niekro brothers in a post.

This is just a sampling of the 122 cards that I received for this set. It now has 311 cards for just under 43% complete.

First 2 cards of 2019

I'm back after a little hiatus. I took some time off to travel to Florida a week ago but I slowed down the Ebay purchases for the last month for one, to save money and two, so I didn't have to get on to Ebay while I was there. I did get a couple of cards today in the mail, these will be the first of 2019 I received. Wish they were a little more exciting.

I picked up this 1988 Topps for the Baseball collection for $.10/shipped.

I also picked up this 1982 Fleer for the Vintage collection for $.15/shipped. This is only my 45th card from that set.

I'll be back with some better stuff. I got a Christmas package from Dennis to show off and I'm going to try to post a stats page tomorrow so stay tuned.

New Additions - Vintage Collection (1982-1985)

*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise noted) and all were under $.50/shipped.

I'm listing Ebay stuff but also I got a package from Bru over at Remember the Astrodome so you'll see assorted stuff from him as well. He was originally going to hook me up with some 1984 Topps (which he did) but he ended up sending a bunch more vintage as well as some White Sox needs. I'll be randomizing the posts like I did the last bunch.

True to form, Bru sent me a whole bunch of Houston Astros for the vintage collection and you can also see the huge stack of 1984 Topps he sent me. Those were what he had originally contacted me about saying he had some for me, everything else was a surprise. The 1984 Topps cards he sent boosted that set over the quarter mark at 26%.

Both of these were accidents for the Vintage collection. I purchased the first card for the Mike Schmidt collection and realized I already had it. To make matters worse, I purchased the 2nd card for the White Sox collection not realizing that I had just one it a few days prior to this one ending.

In case you're interested, the reason I pretty much always post pics of single cards is because of these 2 blogs that I use to store my cards. My Personal Collections (now with over 2300 cards) and My Baseball Card Obsession (now with over 2500 cards and almost 900 different card labels).
