Just a reminder that all these photos come from TCDB (except the random Relic) as I don't keep scans of my cards anymore. The Magglio I grabbed from my blog because there wasn't one on TCDB. I am currently working on getting everything I have scanned on there but haven't made it to my relics/autograph binder yet.

A lot of White Sox cards up there which isn't too surprising. 5 White Sox cards and none of them were in my player collections. I do enjoy doing these posts because I sometimes run into a card or 2 that I haven't seen in awhile, like the Magglio relic card. 3 cards from Jeff at 2x3 Heroes who we've seen his name a lot in the last month or so.

Cheaper Than Stamps #58

Yesterday, we finished with the player collections.  Today we start (and finish) with the White Sox team set pick-ups.  From newest to oldest.

2014 Topps – Alexei Ramirez, Dayan Viciedo, Matt Lindstrom, Hector Santiago, Josh Phegley, Jeff Keppinger, Jose Quintana, Erik Johnson and Andre Rienzo

This is the whole series I team set, minus the Chris Sale because it goes to the Chris Sale collection and now I need to pick one up for the team collection.  I grabbed this whole lot for $2.28 for 10 cards which equals out to $.23 a card so it was still under budget.

Dayan Viciedo – 2013 Topps

Um, I have no record of purchasing this card.  I went all the way back to November of last year and couldn’t find it.  I promise that I got it for under $.29.

Somehow, I didn’t win and other newer cards so let’s get to the vintage portion of todays post.

1972 Topps – Wilbur Wood

I already had one of these in the Wilbur Wood collection so I grabbed this copy to go in the White Sox collection.  I actually picked up a 3 card lot of 1972 cards so the other 2 go to the Vintage collection.  I paid $.79 for the lot, which equals to $.26 each.

John Buzhardt – 1966 Topps

I grabbed this card for $.30.  It helps with that team set but I still need a bunch of cards, so it didn’t help much.  I’m not going to turn down a 60’s card for under the cost of a stamp though.

Eddie Fisher – 1964 Topps

Ditto with this card, I still need a bunch for this years team but again, a 60’s card for $.29.  You can’t really beat that, it’s essentially a quarter box find.

Vacation Pick-Ups #4–1963-1960

That’s right, we aren’t done with the vintage yet.  This is where I really got excited, between this post and the next post.  I don’t usually get a chance to pick up this many vintage cards for my team sets.

These were the first 2 1963 Topps added to the White Sox team sets so I was definitely pumped to get them.

3 1962’s including another All-Star Rookie.  Everybody loves the wood set don’t they.  These 3 doubled how many I had from that year.

Another set that today’s addition more than doubled what I had for that year.  !961 Topps Ted Kluszewski and a team card, oh yeah!

6 1960’s added to another set which I’ve had a bunch of.  Although technically the World Series card isn’t part of the Sox team set but it’s got 3 White Sox players, I couldn’t resist.  Plus look at the other names here.  Another Ted Kluszewski, an Early Wynn and a Nellie Fox.  Some great additions to this set.  This gives me 27 cards for the team set, yet I still need 15 more so don’t get too excited.
