Sunday, Maize and Blue Sunday

I missed posting yesterday as we drove down to Indy to see my niece graduate from the University of Indianapolis. It was at 10 am so we had to leave here pretty early since we're 3 hours away. We hit my wife's sister's house on the way home and hung out there a few hours so by the time I got home, I didn't even get online for very long. At least I didn't miss a birthday post.

I spent most of today going through NBA cards pulling HOF'ers and dollar cards for the shop. It's nice pulling Chris Webber cards for hall of famers now.

Today's post is a team post, Chris Webber's previous team to start with.

Well speak of the devil. I picked up this Webber from Sluggo. I didn't even know that Classic came in a Chrome version. This is my 8th card of C-Web, all in Michigan uniforms as I don't have a PC of him.

I picked this up at our last trip to the Baseball Card Exchange. I picked up a bunch of relics and autos for $3-$5. This was the only non-PC Michigan card that I picked up out of the pretty big stack I came home with. It is also my 8th card of John.

I got this card at the Mishawaka show that we set up at. I had a Michigan hoodie on and one of the sellers brought it up to the table and sold it to me. Of course, I used show money which means Sluggo bought it for me. It is the Purple Wave version and is my 24th card of Brady in the Maize and Blue.

That's all I had for the Michigan adds, I just posted that collection in September so I haven't picked up too much since then. These 3 give me 825 cards in the Michigan Collection.

Michigan Saturday

Just a quick post tonight, I worked this morning and am sleepy. I have a bunch of birthday posts next week. I should get at least a couple ready tomorrow. 

Todays post is a team collection so that narrows it down to 2.

First off, a couple of Tom Brady cards that were in a box of cards that we bought for the store. I get first dibs on cards for my collections, as long as they aren't high dollar cards, that is. I don't collect Brady but I do love his cards in Michigan uniforms. 

Dennis of Too Many Verlanders sent me these maize and blue cards, including another Tom Brady up there. I have 10 cards of Tom now. I actually have 22 cards of Henne and 17 of Manningham as well, all Michigan cards. The Navarre card is a numbered die cut as well. Great cards from Dennis, as always.

Fred also hooked me up with a couple of Michigan cards. I actually already had the Gardner auto, as does Dennis which is where my dupes go so now I have 2. I don't actively buy dupes of autos or relics but if they find their way into my collection, I keep them.

I picked up these 2 for $5 a piece at the Baseball Card Exchange last weekend. These are both my 2nd relics of each player.

This bad boy Sluggo gave me as payment for listing cards for him. We were at the LCS and he saw it and grabbed it. I'm not a huge fan of manufactured relics, I mean, I like the looks of them but the whole manufactured thing does nothing for me but I like the corner of the Michigan logo, plus the auto and numbered to /25. Apparently they do 4 versions, all 4 corners of the logo, each numbered to /25.

It's fitting that the random picked up Michigan on a Saturday since I picked my tickets for this years game, I'll be going to the Michigan/IU game.

M&B Cards

This will be my last post for a few days. It is Father's Day weekend and as I have every year for awhile now, we are going camping. I won't be back until Monday afternoon so I don't know if I'll get one out then either. There's a PC birthday this weekend, I'm hoping to get it set to post on that day but we'll see how that goes.

My cousin and I are possibly making plans to go to the National this year. We'll see if everything plans out. We talked about hitting a Sox game that night as well. I'll let you know if we get anywhere.

As for today, the great random on the interwebs picked a team collection post. Fred gave me all these cards at one time or another in the couple of months.

This is my 5th card of Steve Everitt. Since it's an older card and I don't have a PC of him, all 5 of those are Maize and Blue cards.

This is a Press Pass Paydirt, which I had never heard of but there you go. This is only my 3rd card of Jon Runyan.

I got both of these at the same time, hence, the same scan. The Derrick Alexander is my 13th card of him, apparently they put out a bunch of college uni cards in 1994.

I also got this card of our current head coach, Juwan Howard. It's only my 4th card of him in the Maize and Blue, they are also 1994 so either they didn't do the same with basketball, or I just haven't gotten very many.

Fred also picked up this auto for me, I'm sure he didn't pay a bunch but I still find it odd that he picks up cards for me. I can see bringing in his old cards when he comes across them but to actively search for me is odd. Not that I mind. This is my 7th card and my 2nd auto of Navarre.

I actually have more Michigan cards from Dennis' latest package but I still haven't finished scanning them all. I've been kind of lazy this week and have been working on other things.
