Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Silver Thunder

The family decided to get a fantasy football league so I'm playing it again after probably close to 10 years of not playing. I went to the draft and barely new any of the names. It could be interesting.

It's fitting that today's post is basketball because I spent most of the day listing NBA cards on Sportlots for Sluggo.

This is the Prizm and the Silver Prizm parallel. I also have the green parallel. These 2 cards came from Sportlots and give me 27 cards of McGary.

Happy (late) Birthday - Mitch McGary

I'm a slacker, I haven't been very good at getting these birthday posts out on time. I knew it would be a struggle with so many PC's. I need to sit down on the weekend and type them all up for that week.

I have to show off these 2 1/1 plates that Dennis gave me.

I have to show the Michigan uniformed cards.

The really sad thing about missing his birthday, is that we share the same birthday. Also, doing this post, I realized he's from Chesterton where I go twice a year to go camping. Small World.

Hump Day Thunder

* I put my January purchases on random for today's post.

You get more Michigan alumni today which you should probably get used to. Most of what I have I have left for the month is. 4 of 6 are so there you go.

I picked up a couple more of McGary. These 2 give me 20 now of him. Nothing overly fancy here but that 2nd card is at least a good action shot.

New Additions - Carlton, Fisk and McGary

*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise noted) and all were under $.50/shipped.

I'm listing Ebay stuff but also I got an awesome package from Dennis over at "Too Many Verlanders" and my favorite "Too Many Manninghams", although you'll see a lot of that great stuff on the TMM blog whenever I get that post together. I also received 2 huge packages of mainly White Sox cards from Jeff over at "2 x 3 Heroes" as well and both guys also sent a bunch of vintage. I'm also randomizing the posts so let's see what's next.

Sorry, I disappeared for a few days. It's been a busy couple of days.

Jeff actually sent me 2 Carlton Fisk cards I needed, you'll see the other one down below in the Ebay section. I had picked one up on Ebay before I got his package so I used the one he gave me for the White Sox Collection. It was a 2015 Topps insert. I like this vintage look with the shininess of this card. It's 2 favorite things in one card. Only thing that would have made it better would have been to a White Sox card.

It was a good month for the 2 Carlton's (Steve and Fisk), adding 5 to the Steve Carlton collection (love the Kmart card) and 3 for the Carlton Fisk collection. I even managed to pick up my 1st Mitch McGary card.

In case you're interested, the reason I pretty much always post pics of single cards is because of these 2 blogs that I use to store my cards. My Personal Collections and My Baseball Card Obsession.
