Blue and Red and Purple

 It's fitting that today's random post is a Michigan player, although it's not the right sport. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Michigan/Illinois game to freeze my ass off. I haven't been since 2019 between Covid and last year I didn't use my tickets so I'm going tomorrow, even though it'll be extremely cold. I'm taking Sluggo with me. He took me to my first Notre Dame game last year (he's a ND fan) so I'm taking him to his 1st Michigan game. I don't normally pick November games specifically for this reason but it was the only game that I got to choose from that he had off work at the time. He doesn't work anymore (he does cards full time) so if I had known that, I would have picked an earlier game in the year. It is what it is, I'll dress warm and hope it doesn't snow. Easier to deal with the cold, if I'm not getting wet.

I picked up 3 Bowman (I love the cracked ice) and a Prizm Hyper Red & Purple in a Michigan uniform so you could say the bottom 2 are my favorites. The Michigan one the most.

I have 5 cards now, 4 of them are all that same Bowman, different parallels.

Too Much Verlander

Today, they're announcing the Cy Young winners and this guy was in the race, sorta. He did end up 2nd in voting behind Verlander but most people doubted he was going to overtake him, even when he was missing time with an injury.

I already told you how I got the 582 Montgomery's so I won't go into that but these were the only 2 I added. These 2 give me 76 of the future (hopefully) Cy Young Award winner.

Pink Braz

I brought home a few more cards over the weekend. I bought a couple that Sluggo picked up for me and I bought a few from the dealer behind us because he had some vintage so I scanned a few quick things to purchase so you'll see those when they come up.

Today, you get a former Wolverine basketball player which is fitting since Michigan basketball has begun. We haven't looked fabulous but we are 2-0 and there is definitely some talent on the team.

I picked up this pink pulsar from Sluggo. It was a payment card which means it wasn't super expensive so he just gave it to me. This is my 3rd color variation of this card, plus the base. That's always good when it's the draft pick version so he's wearing the Maize and Blue.
