Down to the last 2 new PC's. Let's see who we get tonight.

I told you why I added Strawberry, this guy would be for the same reason. I was a big Mets fan pre-strike and I always got the warm fuzzies anytime I ran across their cards so I started a PC of a few of them.

These 18 cards plus the 19 cards I already had of him in the Vintage collection give me 37 cards total.

Charles in charge

Just a quick post tonight. I'm pretty sleepy. I got a cold and it's whipping my ass. Mainly when I'm trying to sleep, otherwise it's just coughing and sneezing all day.

I told you that I finished the Fab Five players but I do have another former Michigan player that I'll be starting a PC of.

These are the 4 that I grabbed while sorting Sluggo's cards.

I picked up both of these in a dollar box at my LCS. I had just started the collection so I jumped on the card on the left. I assumed it was a rookie (I was correct) even if it's the equivalent of an Opening Day in baseball, or at least I assume. Even if I hadn't started a PC, I would have jumped on the card on the right. That's a beautiful card.

Fred brought me this one into me at work. Another nice card, you can't go wrong with a blue outline on a card in their Michigan uniforms.

Last but not least, this was one of the cards that my mom bought for me for my Christmas gift. I thought having Nico Collins on that card was a little weird but the other 2 I get. Now they are all 3 player collections though.

I believe tomorrow is another birthday post so I'll see you all later in the week. Maybe I'll have a total on the Frank Thomas cards I'm keeping by then. I'm going to go by his shop tomorrow after work and work out a deal for them.

Fab Four and Five

I thought I had a birthday post today but apparently I got the date wrong and I still have a couple of days. Today, you will get the last of the Fab Five players that I'm posting (the 4th). The 5th I didn't add any cards to his collection. After today, I will have 3 more new PC's and they aren't Fab Fivers so now it's all guess work for you. One MLB player, one NBA player and an NFL player. The MLB player played with yesterdays post. The NBA you will definitely know but I doubt you'll guess I collect him and the NFL will be obvious when you hear who it is.

Jimmy Key didn't go on the careers that Webber, Howard and Rose did so he has a lot less cards. I grabbed these from Sluggo's boxes while sorting.

I got these from my brother who is sorting for another guy. These 2 also go to my Michigan collection. I don't think I've see either of those sets before.

These 4, plus the 3 I already had in my Michigan collection give me 7 cards of Jimmy King.

The other Fab Five player is Ray Jackson, I do have 3 cards of his in my Michigan collection so I don't have none, I'm just not adding any with these posts because he only has 13 cards listed on TCDB so I haven't ran across anymore.

Darryl!

Sluggo and I set up at the Fort Wayne show today. It was a pretty busy show, lots of foot traffic. We sold a bunch of football and basketball. The problem is we are doing a pretty big show next Saturday and we have a lot of holes to fill in those showcases. We picked up some, you can see those on the Instagram account, but Sluggo plans on picking up some more this week.

Today's new PC will be a surprising one for most of you. Growing up, I was a Mets fan (that's why I collect Tom Seaver and Gary Carter) so I decided to add a couple of others from back then. Starting with this guy.

These 21 came from the cards I was sorting for Sluggo's. I really liked Darryl, he was kind of my first prospect that I really liked and got to watch from the start. I lost touch with him after he got in trouble with drugs, plus that was around the time I stopped collected and watching baseball as much.

I also started doing some sorting for the local LCS. He buys a ton of stuff but doesn't have enough time to sort so I've been doing a little bit and he lets me keep some cards. I came across this one which I needed for this new PC as well as the Vintage Collection. I added Strawberry to the Tier 3 collections.

These 22 cards plus all the Strawberry's I already had in my Vintage Collection give me 42 of the former slugger.
