I got 3 cards in 3 different envelopes today but I'm only going to show 2 today. I'm waiting on one other coming in the mail and I'll show that one along with the one I'm not showing today. I picked up a couple of Chicago White Sox cards for the Sox Collection.
This is a die cut card, it doesn't show it as well as I'd like but you get what you get. This card of Chris Snopek is a 1996 Upper Deck Future Stock Prospects comes to me for $.17/shipped. If I remember correctly, he was supposed to replace Robin Ventura but never really panned out. That seems to happen a lot with prospects in our system. Let's hope that trend doesn't continue with our make over this season.
This came up on my search for under a $.25 with free shipping and since it was an auto, I went ahead and put $2 on it. Luckily, it only took half of that to bring it home. I got it for $1.04/shipped. He was alright as a Sox starter but he found his niche coming out of the bullpen for other teams, even had a number of years as a decent closer.
Welcome
This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.
Wiki says Rauch is the tallest player in MLB history and that he won an Olympic gold medal. That certainly makes his rather nice auto (on card) for $1.04 seem like a steal to me.
