Price per card went up $.02.  I got the Steve Carlton card for a buck which to me is a good cost for that card.  It just doesn’t help the price per card.

Completed Team Sets–2009 Upper Deck A Piece of History

Another team set of only a few cards.  How Konerko doesn’t make any team sets at this point (2009) is beyond me.  I do like seeing Ken Griffey Jr. in a White Sox uniform.  These cards aren’t to horribly bad with history being in the title and making it look like vintage frames.

2008 Topps Heritage Then & Now ($.75/shipped)

Nice insert, not sure what the correlation is with Orlando Cabrera is.  Too bad he at least wasn’t in his White Sox uniform.  I thought maybe they both came from Venezuela but OC is from Columbia.  If I hadn’t put the card away already, I might have actually taken the time to read the back and see why he is on it.

You know I love vintage, but this is the next best thing.  Reprinted vintage.

2012 Topps Heritage Then & Now ($.12)

Another Then & Now insert from Topps Heritage, this one is a lot cheaper at $.12 cents.

1973 Topps ($1.75/shipped)

I splurged a bit for this vintage card.  But it’s a 1973 and it’s vintage.  I still need to pick up another one for the 1973 Topps set.

1970 Topps ($1.40/shipped)

I splurged a bit for this vintage too.  Is it really splurging if you didn’t mind paying that much?  I found my weakness when you put vintage with a player collection.  I’m a sucker for that combination.

Vintage collection - 1969

What?  How come this is going to the Vintage collection instead of the Luis Aparicio collection or the White Sox collection?  That’s because this my 3rd duplicate of this card.  I picked up this bad boy for only $.99.  I was a little shocked to get it at that price.  I just picked up his 2 of his later (playing years) cards and I paid more than that for both of them.

This was my first card from the 1969 Topps set.

Completed Team Sets–2009 Topps Ticket to Stardom

Back in 2009, I was buying boxes from the LCS, this was one of them.  I don’t know if I completed the team set back then or not.  But when I got back into it last year I still had the majority of them.

My largest team set to date at 11 cards.  By the time I’m done posting, it’ll be larger.  I’ve completed a couple of team sets from just a few years ago.  From the Topps base sets.
