Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Lots of Cal

It was a slow day at work and I've been tired most of the evening, trying to catch up on some TV. Today's post is another icon.

I picked up a bunch of Cal that I figured I already had with that top row. Then we get into the other stuff, the next 5 are all smaller sets and the bottom right is the Gold Winners parallel.

More oddballs with the Fleer mini sets, some O-Pee-Chee and another Classic.

More of the same but the Donruss Canadian version is represented this time. I was surprised I didn't have the 1991 Bowman.

I also grabbed some more modern card of Cal, some with logos, some without.

Here's the horizontals as well. The middle 2 also go to the Vintage collection. Another Gold Winners on the bottom as well.

We don't sweat the small stuff either. Here's the smaller versions of cards and stickers that I also picked up.

All of the above cards came from my latest Sportlots shipment.

You know Dennis is going to have some Ripken's for me as well.

These 10 all came from Dennis at Too Many Verlanders in his annual Christmas package.

Lastly, I picked up this one in a dollar box at the card show this past weekend. I picked up enough and the dealer gave me a discount so it equaled out to only $.78.

These 54 cards give me 720 cards which puts the Ripken 1 card more than the Konerko collection for 1st place. I figured that would happen once I got to picking up Ripken's on Sportlots.

So close

I occasionally go to TCDB just to see what sets in my vintage collection that I'm close to completing and then see what they have to see how close I can get. Today's post was one of those purchases.

I was pretty close to finishing the 1985 Fleer set so I grabbed all of these to get me so much closer. After adding these 12 cards, it only leaves me missing 11 to finish the set. Most of those names are more than my usual $.50 but I'm sure I'll pick them up sooner rather than later.

Ripken Mail Day

I did get 1 card today in the mail and it's another player collection. Which isn't surprising since that's pretty much all I bid on. I do bid on White Sox cards and Michigan cards too but not as often. This past week I did bid on a bunch for the Vintage collection and have already won some so you'll see those in the future.

But, back to today's mail.

1988 Fleer

I get to add another Ripken to the collection, I pick up more cards of his cheap than I ever imagined I would. This is the 257th card for the Cal Ripken Jr Collection and I picked it up for $.23/shipped.

New Additions - Vintage Collection (1982-1984)

This round of the "Look What I Got!" will have 29 posts, ranging from 1 card to 39. The player collections sometimes only have 1 or a couple of cards where as the White Sox or Vintage posts generally have a lot more, especially the 80's cards.

I have randomed them and let's see what we got (unless you peeked at the title.) Sorry if a few are blurry, I didn't realize it when I edited them and I wasn't going to go back, find the cards and take new photos.

Vintage Collection (1982-1984)

2 by 3 Heroes

Jeff hooked me up with a lot of cards for my Vintage Collection, including these 11 cards from 1982-1984. I love these years because it was the height of my collecting as a kid (9 to 11 years old).

Be sure to check out my other 2 card blogs as well.

Just like it says, photos of baseball cards. The "Blog" currently sits at over 4400 cards featured and I add more weekly.

This "Blog" has photos of the cards from my PC's. I have all the cards that were featured on this blog over here and will be working on adding all of my cards.
