Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Triple PC

Today's random triples the collection of this player.

I picked up the base (paper, if that's what you want to call it) on Sportlots and the Chrome I grabbed from my cousin. This is only my 2nd and 3rd cards of Jack who played in the 2019 College World Series with Michigan. These are the first 2 cards in pro uniforms as well.

1984 Abreu

I haven't posting a ton lately because I've been getting a bunch of cards on one day and than nothing for a day or two. Today is the same. I got three envelopes today, although two of them came from the same seller. I'll start off with the virtual dime (or less) pick-ups.

They all came to me for $.06/shipped/each except the Felix Hernandez, I paid a dime/shipped for it but you know, he is a King so I guess that's worth the extra four cents.

I also picked up my first relic from 2019, I grabbed this Abreu card for $3/shipped. This will be the 49th card of Abreu that I have logged into TCDB which I don't have everything logged in yet, but I'm getting there. He is 33rd on the player list (I love TCDB) but over half of those are actual player collections so with all the cards of his out there, I'm sure he'll gradually move up.

2019 Heritage

I told you about a week ago that I bought a blaster of Topps Heritage, well I finally got the stuff ready for a post. I didn't get any dupes which is always good, but you've all seen the posts so you know what the cards look like. Here you'll see the cards I got for my team and personal collections.

These are the 4 cards I got for the White Sox Collection. I checked to see how many cards are in the team set. Let's just say a lot more but it's a good start.

I also got this for the Johnny Bench collection. Obviously this is from the Then and Now insert set.

I saw Opening Day is out now but I don't know if I'll pick up any of that in packs, I haven't really decided yet.

I got some decent cards here, the Kiermaier snow camo card was pretty cool, numbered to /99. I only got one White Sox card but I actually already had it because Jeff (2 x 3 Heroes) sent me the series 1 team set about a year ago so all cards up there are available. Like I said in my last post, I'm not worried about trading, if you see something you like, let me know and I'll PWE it to you. Otherwise, I give them all to my cousin for him to sell at card shows because he sends me a ton of cards all the time.

I have to run to Walmart a little later today and I'm going to try to grab at least a pack of 2016. I think I want to at least grab a pack of everything released, I don't know why, just to say I did I guess. Plus it always makes more blog posts other than my usual "look what I got" posts.

Box pick-up - 2014 Topps Update

I'm slowly getting everything ready for my January pick-ups posts, it was a lot of scanning. I also bought packs at 3 different times and I figured I do one of those kinds of posts, which is what this one is. I'm almost done with the scanning so hopefully not to much longer I'll be able to get those posts going. I got another package from Dennis and also another one from my cousin which is why the scanning is taking awhile, it wasn't just Ebay pick-ups.

I picked up a box of 2014 Topps update (it was discounted and there wasn't much to choose from). Here's what came in the box, I know it's an older set now but if you see anything you want, drop me a line, email is in my profile. I'm not even worried about trading, because I don't have much else but I don't mind sending you a PWE with that card.

I was happy with this purchase just because I ended up with so many White Sox cards. The bad part is, I realized that I never updated my 2014 Topps update want list so I have no idea if I have any of these. The Chris Sale looks familiar so I might have that but I need 2 of his cards anyways (1 for team collection, 1 for player collection). I was really happy to get one of the colored parallel cards of a White Sox player on top of that.

All cards (Except the White Sox ones) are available, if you want one or a couple, just let me know. I scanned everything in the packs and will eventually get them up over at My Baseball Card Obsession so if you want a look at a certain card, let me know that as well and I can send you a scan.
