Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Lottsa Cards

I have lots of cards to show and I'm sleepy so let's get to it.

1987 Donruss from my LCS found sorting for him.

1987 Fleer from my LCS found sorting cards.

More 1987 fleer, these are from Kevin while sorting his cards.

1986 Fleer from my LCS.

1986 Fleer from Kevin.

1985 Donruss from Kevin.

1984 Topps from Kevin.

1984 Donruss from Kevin.

1983 Topps from my LCS.

Another 1983 from Sluggo

1983 Topps from my son, the only card I needed out of the repack he bought me.

1983 Fleer from my LCS.

1982 Topps from my LCS.

1982 Topps from Kevin.

1982 Fleer from my LCS.

1982 Donruss from Kevin.

1981 Donruss from Kevin.

1980 Topps from my LCS.

This is the first card on this post that I paid for. This 1972 Topps was in the half off box that Kevin bought from Hollister so I only paid $2.

A 1985 Topps from my LCS,

Last but not least, this 1964 that also came from my LCS.

Lots of vintage up there, very cheap in total for all of it. Cards as old as 50 plus years. If you add up everything, I paid less than $5 for all of it. The majority of it free as payment for sorting cards for Kevin and the LCS.

Schmidt with a side of Rice

Sluggo and I went over to our LCS and put in a little work sorting cards. I came home with a stack for myself as payment so I'll probably spend time tomorrow logging and scanning cards.

Today we got another tier 3 collection, or is it Vintage collection. Actually, it's both but it's only 1 card.

I grabbed this while sorting cards for Sluggo (I guess I have to say for who now). I was surprised I didn't already have it but I didn't. I know it's nothing fancy but it was a need regardless.

This is my 282nd card of the HOF 3rd baseman. Not really too far from 300. Hopefully by next year, hehe.

So close

I occasionally go to TCDB just to see what sets in my vintage collection that I'm close to completing and then see what they have to see how close I can get. Today's post was one of those purchases.

I was pretty close to finishing the 1985 Fleer set so I grabbed all of these to get me so much closer. After adding these 12 cards, it only leaves me missing 11 to finish the set. Most of those names are more than my usual $.50 but I'm sure I'll pick them up sooner rather than later.

New Additions - Vintage Collection 1987

*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise noted) and all were under $.50/shipped.

I'm listing Ebay stuff but also I got an awesome package from Dennis over at "Too Many Verlanders" and my favorite "Too Many Manninghams", although you'll see a lot of that great stuff on the TMM blog whenever I get that post together. I also received 2 huge packages of mainly White Sox cards from Jeff over at "2 x 3 Heroes" as well and both guys also sent a bunch of vintage. I'm also randomizing the posts so let's see what's next.

Jeff always sends me a bunch of 1987's, I think he just likes to pawn his junk wax on me. Luckily, they're always welcome so it's all good.

Picked up 8 cards for the Fleer set as well.

In case you're interested, the reason I pretty much always post pics of single cards is because of these 2 blogs that I use to store my cards. My Personal Collections and My Baseball Card Obsession.
