Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Lotsa Sox

Just a quick post as I waited to long to start this. I was watching the White Sox finally win a game.

Speaking of the Sox, that's what this post is of. It's nice that the random waited until they at least won a game before popping them up.

I picked up all of the above on Sportlots. With all of those 1977 Topps, I'm only 1 card short of the team set so I'll be looking to add that soon.

These 2 came from a free giveaway at "A Penny Sleeve for your Thoughts." I claimed both of these from his Free Stuff Fridays awhile back.

Fuji of "the Chronicles of Fuji" sent these along with the few other cards that I showed earlier in the month. 4 Magglio's give me 148 cards of his.

These cards and the 1 below all came from Dennis of "Too Many Verlanders." The 4 cards of Frank Thomas (and the 1 from Fuji) gives me 534 cards of his.

Dennis also sent me this autograph. It's my first of his but he only has twenty cards according to TCDB so I'm guessing he never got too far. It's still a Sox auto though and that's all that matters.

Thanks to everyone who sent the cards above. I do so love this community.

10 cards, 3 collections

I didn't post yesterday even though I got a couple of envelopes. Then today I got a couple of more so I figured I better get off my ass and get them posted.

We'll start off with 3 cards for the White Sox Collection. The Gordon Beckham logo card I may already have but I didn't have it listed anywhere so I grabbed anyways. All 3 of these White Sox cards I picked up for $.15/shipped. These 3 make 179 cards picked up this year for the White Sox Collection so far this year.

These 2 cards (I know, more 1980's) I picked up for $.18/shipped and $.23/shipped. These 2 cards make 149 cards for the set. The Busby card is the first of a few from the Royals.

These 3 cards from the 1978 Topps set came to me for $.25/shipped, $.23/shipped and $.14/shipped. The cheaper cards were the Royals cards. That old Mariners logo though, I tend to forgot about the trident logo they used to use all the time. These 3 cards put that set at 139 cards.

Last but not least for the Vintage collection comes this card from the 1976 Topps set. I picked it up for $.16/shipped and it is my160th card from that set which puts me closer and closer to that 25% completed.

These 6 vintage cards make 207 cards picked up for that collection so far this year.

I also got to add another Paulie to the Konerko collection. I don't usually get to pick up a lot of his cards on the cheap. I sorta have this card already, only it's stamped with the Special Olumpic logo and also stamped 1 of 1. I don't know the story behind it but here it is. This card is my 419th different Konerko and my 9th card this year which surprised me, but I got a box of cards from Jedi Jeff so I'm guessing the majority of those cards came from that package.

This weeks cards

I didn't receive any cards in the mail today but I did get a box from UPS. My cousin (Sluggo) sent me about a 100 cards or so but I have to go through them yet, good thing it's a 4 day weekend. The only plans I have are to watch the Michigan/Florida St game tomorrow night. Other than that, I'm free. I'm hoping to get a bunch of cards logged and photographed for my other blogs/galleries.

I did, however, receive a couple of envelopes in the last couple of days while I was posting all the cards Dennis sent me.

These 4 cards (1999 Bowman Chrome) were all in one envelope but they were all listed as single auctions. All but the Chris Singleton were $.16/shipped each and the Singleton was $.18/shipped. Obviously, these all go to the White Sox Collection.

2002 Fleer Flair
I also added another card to the Barry Larkin Collection. I picked this one up for $.16/shipped as well. This card is my 108th in that collection that continues to move right along.
