Monday madness

Today is going to be a quick post, even though I received 6 envelopes with 11 cards. It'll be quick because Mondays kick my ass. I tend to sleep in too much on the weekends and then Sunday night I can't go to sleep so I usually end up with around 4 hours sleep. Normally, I would come home and get online but after work I went and donated blood and by the time I got home, we were having supper. So I'm just now getting around to posting, and I'm sleepy. So let's get to it.

1981 Topps

 Still need 9 cards for the team set. Picked this up for $.35/shipped.

1991 Topps

 This card takes this team set down to 1 last card. Picked this one up for $.12/shipped.

1992 Topps

 This card also brings this team set down to 1 card. I got this one for $.01/shipped. You didn't read that wrong, a penny.

1987 Topps All-Star Set

I remember sending in wrappers or game cards or something to get these. I grabbed this one for another $.12/shipped.

All 4 of the above came from the same seller and all go to the White Sox collection.

2016 Topps First Pitch

I had to pick this one up because it's a Sox card and because he's a Star Trek guy. I probably wouldn't have picked it up if he wasn't in the Sox uniform though. I grabbed this one for $.54/shipped. I do want the Haley Atwell as well from this set even though it doesn't really fit into my collection.

Obviously, the last 3 cards all came from the same seller. I don't think I've ever seen this set so it was nice to grab 3 for my collections. I also only paid $.06/shipped for this Abbott for that player collection.

1983 Topps Stickers

 I always like grabbing these stickers since I used to buy them up like crazy as a kid. This one came to me for $.52/shipped. This one goes to the Carlton Fisk Collection.

1989 Topps All-Star Glossy

 The only player in this post to never play for the White Sox. I got this card of the Kid for $.30/shipped.

2006 Upper Deck Artifacts MLB Apparel #'d /325

I also picked up this relic of Tadahito Iguchi for the White Sox Collection for $3.49/shipped. Love the jersey swatches with pinstripes.

New Additions - 1990's White Sox cards

This round of cards have all been randomized, let's get to today's cards.

White Sox Collection (1990's)

My cousin sent me 1 Sox card from the 1990's and this CD-Rom card he gave to me while I was visiting him a month or so ago. I'd put it in my laptop to see what comes up except that I have a chromebook and it doesn't have a disc drive. I had never seen these before. They are just a little bigger than an average card.

Tom sent me a bunch of 1993 Upper Deck along with this 1998 Pinnacle coin of Frank Thomas. I had to steal the photo from COMC because I couldn't get a unblurry photo of it. He knocked the 1993 Upper Deck team set all the way down to 4 cards in one shot. One of the better Upper Deck sets in my opinion.

Kyle sent me all of these early 90's White Sox cards. The 1990 Topps knocked that team set down to 2 cards and the 1992 cards put that team set down to 2 as well. 1993 on the other hand, I still have a little ways to go.

Dennis only sent one White Sox card from the 1990's but it was a huge card. It's the size of a folder but it's an actual card, it even has the back of the card (stats) in this huge 1997 Pinnacle Zenith card. They Tyrone Wheatley card on the left is an actual sized card. Holy hugeness!

New additions to the White Sox and Vintage collections

*For those new to the blog, all purchases were made on Ebay (unless otherwise said) and all were under $.50/shipped.

*Since I made a huge purchase (147 cards) from JustCommons.com, I'm going to combine them with my Ebay purchases for the next couple of weeks.  I bought the cheapest cards of my player collections. I spent $2 on my tier 1 collections and $1 on the rest. I also picked up one relic card to make my purchase an even $25.

2006 Upper Deck Star Attractions Relic - Just Commons

The 6 card lot of 1990 Donruss White Sox cards I grabbed all of those for less than $.50 total. The Joe Crede at the top (Bowman Heritage) was also a mistake by Just Commons, I ordered one of those for the Joe Crede Collection and for some reason, they sent me 2. Works for me since I could actually use 2. I'm not sure if the Adam Dunn is a parallel or not, I suppose I need to look into that. It wasn't listed as one when I bought it off Ebay, but looking at it without comparing next to another, it looks awfully shiny like. The Iguchi relic was the aforementioned purchase to get my Just Commons purchase to $25.
