Vintage collection–1986 Topps

Picked these Seattle Mariners cards for $.80 on Ebay in a lot.  So essentially, I paid $.10 a card.

Also grabbed these San Diego Padres in a lot for $.40.  Or $.05 a piece.  I really don’t want to spend much of anything on 1986 or 1987 Topps because I know there are a crap load of them out there.

Ebay–Billy Williams Collection

I got this addition to my Billy Williams collection for a whopping $.25.  It was listed as “Billy Williams baseball card”.  Nothing about being a 2003 Fleer Tradition, nothing about being a Chicago Cubs card, nothing about it being numbered 25/100.  Not in the title or in the description.  They were not a new seller but only had 306 feedback rating.  I went through his other items for sale and he had a Rick Burleson 1987 Topps card with a Buy it Now for $1.  So I have no idea how he let this go for a quarter, but I’ll take it.

Completed Team Sets–2009 Bowman Chrome Prospects

I already said what I think about these sets.  But they are Sox cards so I have to get them.  Tyler Flowers is the only of these 4 that have done anything so far for the Sox.  He’s AJ’s backup and he’s been calling a good game and coming up with some hits.  Which is all you really need from a backup catcher.

Price per card went up $.02.  I got the Steve Carlton card for a buck which to me is a good cost for that card.  It just doesn’t help the price per card.
