Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

1973 Topps

I’m collecting the 1973 set, slowly but surely. This post is the latest in my quest for the completion.

  • Card Facts – Pat Dobson – Pat Dobson – Card #34
  • Purchase Price – $.31 (Purchased from “Crinkly Wrappers” 145/$45)

  • Cards posted in this set – 110
  • Total price paid – $18.51
  • Average price per card – $0.17
  • Cards left to post – 574 (including NNO Checklists)
  • Percentage posted – 110/684 (16% posted)
  • Percentage completed – 292/684 (43% completed)

Price per card went up $.02.  I got the Steve Carlton card for a buck which to me is a good cost for that card.  It just doesn’t help the price per card.

  1. I tried and to a certain extent, am still trying to complete the 1973 set in a similar fashion. I often lose steam on this secondary project, but I also have a fairly decent (read: hundreds) of extra 1973 Topps in my possession. If you have any interest, let me know.

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
