Lots of envelopes and even more cards

I got 11 cards in 7 envelopes today, yes, 7 envelopes. Oddly enough, 4 of those envelopes were all from the same seller. I won 8 cards from the same seller at the same time and for some reason, they dropped 2 in each of 4 envelopes. Granted, those 2 cards were in 1 top loader so it would have been a thicker envelope so I'm not complaining. I would have dropped all 4 in one envelope with 2 stamps. Lets get to it either way.

These are the 8 cards from the same seller. 6 for the White Sox Collection and 2 for the Jim Abbott Collection. I paid $.25/shipped each. The 2 Abbott's put that collection at 92 cards.

I picked up this 1982 Topps Sticker for $.06/shipped. You read that right, a whopping 6 cents. This is my 103rd card of Gary Carter.

Since we're on Gary Carter, I picked up this 2017 Donruss Relic of the kid for $3/shipped as well. It lists him as Montreal and the jersey is the Expos blue color but I'm pretty sure that's a Mets jersey (edited) on the card. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me. This is my 104th card of Gary Carter.

I also picked up this Jose Abreu relic for $3/shipped. It's also from 2017, but from Topps. I was surprised to win both of the last 2 cards with my max bid but here they are.

4 players, 4 cards, 5 collections

I hadn't posted the last couple of days because I just didn't get a chance to. Friday night we were running around once I got off work and Saturday we made the trek up North to Ann Arbor for the spring game. We left early enough to stop by Meijer to pick up a bunch of Michigan gear before heading over to the game which we missed the beginning of because parking was a mess. Lucky for us, Dennis from "Too Many Verlanders" and "Too Many Manninghams" scoped out some great seats for us. Great because they were next to the entrance we were coming in at and even better, we were out of the sun for most of the game.

I won't go into details of what I saw, good and bad, but just say that it was great to see some Michigan football again. It was also great once I got home to see what Dennis had for me, but you'll see those at another time. I've got them all logged on my pages and "scanned" so I just have to get the post ready but I figure I'll throw it up on one of those days next week that I don't get any mail.

Today, you'll get the 4 cards from the 4 envelopes that I received on Friday and Saturday.

Since we were talking Michigan football, let's start with this former Wolverine. This 2014 Bowman '50 Mini of Taylor Lewan comes to me for $.16/shipped. This is my 14th card of Taylor Lewan and the 1st of him this year.

Sticking with the former Wolverine theme, this is my 1st card of Caris LeVert. This 2016-17 NBA Hoops came to me for $.25/shipped. I've bid on a bunch of his cards and by a bunch, I mean every time I came across his cards, they were always in lots of 15 or 20 which makes them hard to win at a quarter max bid.

The 3rd card I won was another Jim Abbott, Yankee card. This 1993 Donruss Gallery of Stars came to me for $.25/shipped as well. It's not a great card but it stands out with the blue background. This is my 90th card of Jim Abbott and my 5th card this year so far.

Last, but not least, I finally got a White Sox Collection card. Or better yet, a Paul Konerko Collection card. This 2007 Topps Chrome Refractor came to me for $.15/shipped. It is my 414th different card of Konerko and my 5th card of his this year. I wasn't expecting to win this but I'll take it. It's the nice thing about being a White Sox fan, nobody knows about the players.

UPS Delivery

I got one envelope with 2 cards today but it wasn't from the post office. It was send via UPS in a padded "card" envelope. That couldn't have been cheap but it was probably nice for the UPS driver that I had a couple of other packages being delivered so he didn't have to run up to my door just for a small envelope. Then again, the other 2 packages I got were rather large and a little heavy so he had to make the trip twice so maybe not so good for him. I assume it's some kind of regulation that they park in the street because it would be a much shorter distance if he pulled in the driveway.

Both of today's cards are player collections. Both are former White Sox players. Only one of them was traded, the other retired.

This is my 116th card of Chris Sale, nothing to flashy since it has no logos but it is the iconic Diamond Kings. I picked up this card for $.25/shipped. This is my 5th card of Sale picked up this year.

Then we have this flashy shiny card with logos. I picked up this Blue Opening Day of Paul Konerko for only $.17/shipped. It is serial numbered to /2013. It is my 412 different Konerko and my 3rd one picked up this year.

Another $1 auto

I got one card today and it was another autograph from under a buck.

I'm not sure who Andy Gonzalez is and since this card is from 2007, I'm guessing he didn't do to much in the majors, or at least with the White Sox. Either way, it's another White Sox autograph and I only paid $.99/shipped.

Finally

I received 2 cards in 2 envelopes today. One I've been trying to win for under a quarter for awhile and one I stumbled upon for the first time.

This particular seller has been selling the same 2 cards, over and over again. I've been bidding on them over and over again. I finally won one of them back in February but the 2nd one still eluded me, until now.

Like I said above, I won the Jalen Rose just like this one back in February and I've been bidding on this one since before that and I finally won it. I picked it up for $.19/shipped.

I wonder how many of these cards that seller has had because he has sold a ton of them. Probably most at $.30 since I only bid a quarter.

I stumbled upon this one because it was listed under a buck. Which is what I won it for, $.96/shipped. Not only it is an autograph of one of the many next great things to be a bust White Sox player, but it's also seriel numbered to 500.
