Former/current Wolverine

I really need to get to scanning. This is my last post from Dennis and I have nothing else scanned. They didn't tell us we are working this weekend which they are supposed to do by today, but that doesn't mean they won't throw it in there anyways.

Last but not least, is my favorite former Wolverine who just became a current Wolverine. Although technically, once a Wolverine, always a Wolverine.

Dennis sent me these 2 of Mike Hart, you know the bottom one is my favorite because he's got the Maize and Blue on, although back when I did watch NFL, I was a Colts fan as well. These 2 give me 49 of Hart but I'll have more to come when I get to my Sportlots purchases.

Thanks again for the package Dennis. I won't tell you that I'm going to send yours out soon because we both know it may not happen. It will eventually but why put a date on it.

Monday, Monday

I brought home some more cards from Fred (guy at work). He's gradually going through cards he has and he brings me his Sox and Michigan cards. I brought home 10 or so cards but I only needed 3 of them. 5 or 6 of them were 2001 Topps and I only need a few more to complete the set. 3 of them were Michigan cards but I actually had all 3 (so did you Dennis, sorry!)

Speaking of Michigan, how about that game last night. Tom Brady is one, if not the best, QB ever, even at 43 years old. I'm less than 5 years older than he is and I struggle to get out of bed. He's crazy ridiculous.

Also speaking of Michigan. Here's today's card.

Dennis added a card to this defensive phenom, who had a pretty good career on the other side of the ball at Michigan as well. This is my lucky number 13th card of Peppers. I haven't heard from him much the last few years but I also don't watch NFL anymore so it's not like I watch anything to hear anything about him either.

Old School Barry

I planned on spending all weekend in the card room except Saturday evening because I was going to my mom's for her birthday party. I ended up having to work Saturday so between work and the party, I spent a couple hours working on getting my cards logged. 

We came back from the party and one of our dogs had a pretty bad cut above his lip. I ended up crashing early since I was up early for work. Then today, we spent 4 hours at the emergency vet to get him stitched up so by the time I got home, I had enough time to get everything else logged but I still have to scan everything. I don't usually work in there much during the week but I might have to try to get some time in there after work a couple of days this week. I do still have a couple more posts from the package Dennis sent me so I'm good for a few days.

Barry is one of those Michigan guys that I collected before I collected Michigan guys so you know I love when I get a Larkin in a Maize and Blue jersey. If I remember correctly, Dennis showed off this card on his blog and I said I had to get me one, he told me not to bother because he had one for me. That's how great of a guy he is, always thinking about others when he's buying stuff for himself. My Michigan collection is definitely thankful of him. I just went and checked, he's credited with 276 of my 681 cards of players in the Maize and Blue which is good for 40%. It might be higher as some of my cards are listed with unknown because they were before I kept a log. My collection definitely wouldn't be much with his generosity.

Elite Michigan

I got my Sportlots package yesterday. I was going to open it and sort it tomorrow but instead, I get to go to work. Another unnecessary Saturday wasted at work. Since I won't have all day to work on cards tomorrow, I decided to go ahead and open up my box and at least get them sorted. The wife was bored and asked if I wanted her to help open envelopes. Hell yes! I had 64 packages, 292 cards, in that box and I definitely welcomed the help. My favorite question was "Why did you get 2 of the same card?" My response was "Are they the same card?" to which she responded after really looking at it "Oh, I guess not." Welcome to the wonderful world of parallels. 

I still have to get through the cards Dennis sent me and I have a few more posts left so I got time to get the Sportlots package together plus I need to scan the cards from Fred (guy at work).

This is my 25th card of Darboh, I really need to search out more Elite cards. Dennis always shows off some great cards from Elite and they use college uni's which is right up my alley. I like this card because it has the block M on it, I always like seeing that on a card.

Thursdays Hurt

When Dennis sends me cards, he always hits multiple collections but I think he enjoys sending me cards for this collection the most. Mainly to get them out of his.

That's ok, because I enjoy receiving his White Sox cards just as much as I like getting rid of my Tigers cards.

 

These Topps Laser cards are pretty cool. I have 3 of the Sox cards out of 5 and this is my 544th card of the Big Hurt.
