Poole day

I spent a few hours logging in all the 80's cards that I got from Sluggo and in all that time, I didn't even finish the Donruss. I added 667 cards and I'm still not done with just the Donruss. This may take me longer than I anticipated. I did watch yesterday's game off the DVR which was a good one and followed that up with today's afternoon game, which I wish I wouldn't have.

I had actually planned to go over to Sluggo's to work on some of his cards but he had an issue that he needed to take care of so I'll probably go over tomorrow. We still haven't decided if we're going to do that show in September but we're working on getting everything priced in case we do.

I picked up all 4 of these at the National from the same seller. I hit his table before it was open to the public and he had boxes of stuff at half off so I only paid $.50/each for them.

These 4 cards put the Poole collection at 17 cards.

Big Changes

Well, we didn't like that Topps had the only license but I bet nobody saw that coming. As much that as wrong with Topps, I didn't want them to lose their license. There are a couple of sets that I do enjoy and hopefully they don't discontinue but I guess we'll see in a few years. I won't even get into giving the license to someone who hasn't even been into cards. I guess they also have a few years to figure it out.

Today's post isn't a Michigan guy but rather, a guy who hit a HR this evening against Tampa Bay. As I type this, they are heading into extra innings.

I picked up this 2016 Donruss of Yoan at the National. It's actually my oldest card of him and the only one I have from 2016. It's also only the 3rd card I have of him in that other Sox uniform.

I also picked up these 3 from Sluggo. That Fire is a pretty cool looking card, or as the kids say, it's fire.

These 4 cards put the Yoyo collection at 155 cards.

Canadian Shooter

My cousin and I are planning on going to a couple of shows on Labor Day weekend and maybe even doing a show in late September. We'll see. It's exciting to be more involved with cards than just my collections but I have a lot to learn because I've been so focused on my own collections and not what else is going on in the card world so I'm a little lost there.

Speaking of my collections, today, you get another Michigan guy and another sport. I think the last couple have been football and baseball so guess what you're getting today.

I'm pretty sure those 2 cards on the right are the same picture, just the Prestige is zoomed in more. I got these 4 in my first package from Sportlots.

I got these 2 in the 2nd package. You know the Michigan one is my fave.

These 6 cards give me 31 cards of Sauce Castillo. It doesn't sound like a lot but in my basketball PC's, he's in 4th place.

Another Jeff

I went from a Packer on Sunday to a slacker on Monday because I didn't take any time to post.

The great random on the internet gave me todays post, another Tier 2 Michigan guy but a different sport than the last one. I think I had a post of him recently but I just added this one this past weekend as I added Bowman to Sportlots and came across this one.

I went back and I did a post of Jeff on August 5th, so less than 2 weeks ago. Which is why I only have 1, but then again, I only have 4 total of him. This is my 1st in a pro jersey, I have a Michigan uniform and the other 2 are USA cards. By the way, that pro team that he represents lost to the White Sox yesterday. Too bad he's still in the minors, I might have been able to watch him.

A Sunday Packer

I sat down to watch the Sox/Yankees game (which I regret) and scanned some cards so I did get a little work done. I scanned some on to TCDB. I got all my Tier 1 players and a little into my Tier 2 players. I wish we could sort the list of cards on TCDB that need pictures. You click on the list and it's by years, I have my Sox collection in players so it takes forever to go through the list and look for the cards. If I could sort by players, I'd be done a whole lot quicker. So for now, I'm doing my books because I can go by player. I could do the same by each player but I have to type the player name in and a couple more clicks to get to each list. Again, that would take forever.

Today's post is another Michigan guy who seems to be getting more cards. Even though today I only have 1 card. It's a NFL card which I see just started to get ramped up with their pre-season.

I purchased a few of his cards yesterday on Sportlots so I know you'll get to see more in the future. Which is good because this card only gives me 5 cards of Rashan.
