I see your back for some more Vintage. We’ve made it here to the mid 1970’s which includes some peoples favorite colorful set.
Nothing overly exciting above in the lot of 1976’s. I don’t know what to make of this set. It has the basic’s that I like to see on a card, the team name and player, but I would rather have a team logo then a mannequin like player picture. Some of the pictures selected for some of the teams are just blah. I prefer they stick to team colors but that wasn’t a popular thing with the cards in the middle of the 1970’s.
Speaking of colors that have nothing to do with the team. Welcome the 1975’s to the Vintage collection. That Atlanta Braves card above is hideous. I like the Bobby Murcer though, just because I know he is.
One more to throw in there. The reason that some of these are scanned in lots and some are singles just has to do with when I got around to scanning them. The lot of 3 were probably all purchased as singles but I scanned them all together. Then I picked up the John Doherty later and it was the only 1975 card I had when I got around to scanning again.
I debated on picking up Traded cards but figured they are vintage too so why not, it’s not like I pay a fortune for these cards. At least in 1974 they stuck with team colors for the most part.
And one more 1974 to finish of this post from the mid 1970’s. Stick around for the early 1970’s coming to a blog post near you soon.
