This is a series where I show off cards I need for my PC’s that I pick up on Ebay or COMC for cheaper than a stamp. My maximum I spend on these cards is actually $.30 so I get them quite a bit cheaper than a stamp.
Mike Schmidt – 1983 Topps (super-veteran) #301, 1985 Topps #500, 2012 Topps Gold Standard #GS6, 1987 Topps (all-star) #597
I paid between $.33 and $.37 for all 4 of those Schmidt’s on COMC. I needed 4 to get me to 10 and I went for the cheapest. It was nice to get 3 cards from the 1980’s.
Carl Yastrzemski – 1983 Topps (super veteran) #551, 2007 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts #6, 1984 Topps (highlights) #6, 1981 Donruss #214, 2012 Topps Archives reprints #287, 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes #177
I picked up all these on COMC for between $.39 and $.44 on all of them. Can’t complain about a HOF of that caliber for that price.
Carl Yastrzemski – 1983 Fleer (superstar special) #629
I picked this up in a 5 card lot of 1983 Fleer superstar special cards that I grabbed for my vintage collection. But since this one had Yaz on it, it goes to that collection first.
Tom Seaver – 2006 Topps Rookie of the Week reprint #15, 2001 Upper Deck Decade 70’s #158, 2001 Upper Deck Decade 70’s #112, 2006 Fleer Greats of the Game #92, 1999 Upper Deck Century Legends #32, 2001 Upper Deck Legends of NY #193
I picked these up in 2 different 4 card lots on Ebay. Both lots had a duplicate and I already had 1 of the other cards so I ended up keeping 6 of the 8. I paid $.83 and $.59 on the lots which 6 cards equals out to $.24 a card which is still under budget.
