I planned on posting yesterday but I was way to sleepy at the end of the day. I don't sleep much during the week and then make up for it on the weekends.
Today, we get another Tier 1 player who was a White Sox player and played during the vintage years of my vintage collection so we could get multiple collections here.
Well we did hit the White Sox collection along with the Aparicio collection. We got vintage look a-likes but no vintage. I do have most of his base cards from his playing days but not all so I may try to get some of those, if I remember. These 4 make 95 of Aparicio. I know that top card has been used a few times with his cards. I'm pretty sure a Shoebox Legends set used the same and I think another Topps reprint used it as well.
Welcome
This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

More Michigan PC's
I put my January purchases on random and came up with this post.
Apparently random.org wants me to get my Michigan PC, a card players out of the way early this month as this is another one.
This is my 8th different card of Chris Wormley. Technically, I have 10 but I have a couple of dupe autos. Nothing to fancy about this card.
This is only my 3rd card of Chase Winovich. All 3 of them are from this set so none of them are all that nice. This is the gold version of the base, which I have.
Since neither of the previous cards weren't very special, I'll throw this one is as well because it is super slick. Michigan colors, the block M, you can't go wrong. I was searching out Michigan cards when I ran across it and had to get it. I don't have a player collection of LaMarre but this will go to the Michigan collection.

2 cards equals 3 each
I put my January purchases on random and came up with today's post.
I decided that the 1 card Michigan pick-ups, I would show with 2 cards, just to give me some extra days to play with in case I don't get around to posting. Today is one of those posts.
This is a nice shiny card. This Jourdan Lewis is only my 3rd card of his so I definitely need to search out at least a few more.
Again, this 1 card pick up is the 3rd of his collection. This one is better then the shiny one above it because of the Maize and Blue. This card also goes to the Michigan collection.

the Only Cub
This time, instead of trying to buy 3 cards of each PC, I'd find a card I wanted, searched for it and then found a seller that offers the free shipping to the SL box and looked for players that I just wanted more cards of some it generally just depended on my mood on who I searched for. Some some posts will have 1 cards, some will have a bunch.
I randomized my lists of post for February and ended up with a Tier 1 player who you've seen here in the last couple of weeks.
I wish I could say all those aren't reprints, buy they are. The truth is, I have the original of the 1st card (his rookie), the 2nd card doesn't actually exist and I don't have the original of the last card. These 3 do put the Billy Williams collection at 70 cards though.

A Superbowl Hero
I'm all ready to post this months cards. I counted out 25 posts and there are 26 days left in the month. It'll be close but if I get in bind, I have a few posts that can be combined as they only have one card, much like today's post.
The rest of the posts will be random but I chose today's to start us off because of what happened last night.

Do you remember that 4th and 10 stop last night to pretty much seal the deal for the Chiefs? That was none other than Michigan Man Frank Clark.
Here's today's card that I just picked up last month.
This is the first card that I've grabbed of Frank Clark so that player collection is officially underway. It's not for lack of trying, he was one of my searches on Ebay but I never got any cards to come up. Now that I'm Sportlots, I searched out at least one and this is what I came up with.
So the Frank Clark Collection is underway and my February posts are underway.
*Update - I went to tag Frank Clark on this blog and realized I had another one. I went to it trying to figure out why it wouldn't come up on my collection page on TCDB. It's because they had it linked to some Frank Clark who played soccer in the late 60's-early 70's.
I had planned on posting yesterday morning but I got trapped working on my pages at the top and updating them and it ended up taking hours off my day. Since I no longer update my player collection spreadsheets and pretty much live and die by TCDB, I had to update all the links on my player collections and vintage collections.
