Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

Trade with my man in A2

I've been slacking all week which doesn't help when your behind on your posting. This is called a trade, but in reality, Dennis sends me his dupes that fit my collection, which I do as well but it's like 200 cards he sends me to my 5. He sent me this package probably a month ago now. I got it all logged pretty quickly but it was awhile scanning all the cards. As you should know, I'm in the process of scanning all my cards individually so even though you won't see every card here, they'll all get posted on My Personal Collections, eventually. All in all, he added 88 cards to my collections.

We'll start with a 60 card set from 2001 Fleer. It's a boxed set that I had no idea it even existed. I won't show all 60 cards but I will a few.

This is what the first 12 cards look like, each celebrating a milestone throughout his career.

The next 12 are labeled "the Streak" and represent the streak. If you don't know what streak they are referring to then why are you even reading this.

The next 11 are highlights from his Final Season. I like the black border with the orange. It's very Orioles like.

The next 5 are highlights from his last game. They basically swapped the colors from the last 11 but it looked a lot better before.

The last 20 cards are copies of each fleer card from the years he played. I do like this concept and thought it was pretty. It's actually a pretty cool set.

The 60 card set along with these other 5 cards give me 416 cards in that collection. Dennis always hits this collection as we both collect him. I'm pretty sure that puts him in 2nd place with total amount of cards in a player collection. Right behind the next guy.

As much as I like seeing Konerko in a White Sox uniform, to see him others is a rarity card wise. Sure there are quite a few actual cards, they just don't come up very often.  The one White Sox card is serial numbered. These 3 cards make 446 cards of Konerko. 77 of those are in a uniform other than the Sox.

He also sent these 4 cards for the White Sox collection. 3 are which are numbered. I like the Box Score cards. I'm not sure I have any but I have seen these before. Another cool way to preserve some legacy.

He also sent 8 Larkin's who as a former Wolverine we both collect. These 8 (4 shown) puts that collection at 184 cards.

To continue with former Wolverines.

I hate seeing Abbott in a Yankee uniform but I needed it and I'm sure Dennis was happy to see that uniform leave his collection. These 2 cards put it at 95 cards, 18 of which are in that damn Yankees uniform.

You know I love these 3 just because they are in the Maize and Blue. I really like the look of the top one.

Last but not least.

These last 2 are current player collections of former Wolverines but they aren't very big. It's only my 2nd card of Rudock and my 1st of Ross, but as you can tell, it's starting with an autograph. I bid on a few of these US Army autographs but never seem to win them.

Thanks for the package Dennis, be sure to check him out at "Too Many Verlanders" and "Too Many Manninghams."
