Completed Team Sets–1975 Topps

Another vintage team set that I completed with the previous COMC purchase was this awesome set.

I had thought I finished this with the end of the year purchase in December but I accidently bought a mini instead of the regular sized card.

I really do hate all the oddball colors but yet I love the set for them.  I can’t understand it.  I kind of feel the same way about the 1976 Topps set as well.

I guess the advantage of being a White Sox fan is that there is rarely a high dollar card that you have to pick up.

Technically the leader and rookie cards aren’t part of the team set, but I’m throwing them in anyways.

Believe it or not, I still have a couple of Vintage Complete Sets to post.  So stay tuned because I have a few other packages from fellow bloggers to throw up as well.

COMC Purchase #6–1973 Topps

I had some money burning a hole through my COMC account and decided to spend it. The negative – I forgot to leave $3 to to pay for the shipping, so I had to add another $10 so I could ship them. The positive – that gave me another $7 to spend. I basically went through each player collection and picked up some cheap cards that I didn’t have. The following is previous entry’s on this purchase.

I really thought I’d end up with more 1981 Topps since the majority of them are inexpensive but I’m guessing that’s why a lot of them don’t get put up on COMC.

Always happy to get a vintage Tom Seaver card for under $.50, even if it is a leaders card.  All my 2012 Topps cards of Seaver have come from trades because I didn’t purchase any 2012 cards.

I was surprised I didn’t have the Kimball Champions.  I really liked the looks of the mound dominance cards and had been looking to pick one of those up.  The 1982 Topps all-star card has a lot of memories for me, I painted that in art class when I was in Jr. High.  If I still had it today, I would scan it and post it but I don’t know whatever happened to it.  It would give you all a good laugh because I sucked at art class.

I paid $3 to ship all 46 cards which comes out to just under $.07 a card.
