Welcome

This blog is about sports cards. I tend to only purchase cheap items so don't come hear expecting to see big money cards. My teams collections are Chicago White Sox and Michigan Wolverines. I also have a bunch of player collections.

5 Random PC Cards Plus 1

I guess I just started on a hot week that first week going 8 straight mail days with cards. This week I only got cards on 3 days and one of those was a package from 2x3 Heroes. I'm sure my wife appreciates it since I give her all the bills and pretty much everything else in the mail and I get to open cards. I hear about it all the time. Let's get on with today's random cards. I added a couple of hundred more cards to my Google doc this week that I'm trying to get every card I own listed. I'm still trying to list everything that's already on My Personal Collections, which is pretty much all the single card posts on this blog before I even pull out my boxes and boxes of common White Sox and Vintage cards and add those. It's a long and tedious process but it will pay off in the end, I hope.

Collection - Paul Konerko, White Sox
Card - 1999 Fleer Tradition Update
Player - Paul Konerko
Team - Chicago White Sox
Acquired - Just Commons
Price - $.12
From - Just Commons
When - February, 2016

I just picked this up earlier this year with my annual (that's what it seems) purchase from Just Commons.

#812
Collection - Mark Buehrle, White Sox
Card - 2001 Fleer Ultra Gold Medallion
Players - Mark Buehrle, Lorenzo Barcelo
Team - Chicago White Sox
Acquired - Purchased
Price - $.10
From - Card Show
When - October, 2015

This was a dime box find at one of the very few card shows we have in this area. They hit the nail on the head with labeling Buehrle as a prospect, not so much with Barcelo.

Collection - Vintage
Card - 1982 Topps
Player - Jim Sundberg
Team - Texas Rangers
Acquired - Purchased
Price - Unknown
From - Ebay
When - December, 2012

When making the Google doc that has all my cards listed, I go through this blog to see what was paid for each card, but I didn't always list it, which is why this is listed as unknown. I do like this set though, and the vintage (now) jerseys.

Collection - Vintage
Card - 1981 Topps
Players - Manny Castillo, Tim Ireland, Mike Jones
Team - Kansas City Royals
Acquired - Purchased
Price - $.15
From - Ebay
When - January, 2012

This card was just added to the list yesterday. The $.15 on Ebay was out of a lot of cards. I picked up a lot of 4-10 card lots of this set back when I was collecting just this set and hadn't started the whole vintage collection yet. More powder blue jerseys from the 80's.

Collection - Vintage
Card - 1973 Topps
Player - Fran Healy
Team - San Francisco Giants
Acquired - Purchased
Price - $.31
When - January, 2012

I purchased a huge lot of 1973 Topps from Crinkly Wrappers back when I was specifically going for this set. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think it was just under 200 cards that I needed and it equaled out to $.31 each.

I decided that I will add a random card from My Baseball Card Obsession as well, these aren't necessarily cards that I own so it really could be anything. Even though I'll random, I'll random until I come across a card that I don't have.

Card - 2016 CBC
Player - Yasmany Tomas
Team - Arizona Diamondbacks

For those that don't know, My Baseball Card Obsession also has custom cards from custom card bloggers. This one comes from Jason's Custom Trading Cards...and Other Random Stuff. I don't ask permission from these bloggers but I always link to their pages so I'm definitely not taking credit for them. I figured if they minded, they would let me know and I would take them down. Here's the link to his direct post for this card.

    1. I just wished I would have started when I started collecting then it would be an easy day to day thing. It's taking forever to get caught up.

Sorry about the word verification, but blogger sucks at filtering out the comments as of late. As bad as their last update is.
