My Vintage collection consists of cards from 1987 and older. Why 1987? Read here.
I picked up my first 1987 Donruss for the collection in a 2 card lot. Along with this card, I got the Rafael Palmeiro Topps future stars as well. I got both of them for $.24.
Where did I get these 2 1987 Donruss’ do you ask? Well I’ve found one advantage to trying to collect some of the junk wax era cards. The top 2 cards were fillers on an Ebay package. So technically, they were free and I needed them both. I also got this card by the same way, a filler.
Can’t beat a free Penguin, even if it is a 1987 Topps.
I picked up all 3 of the Toronto Blue Jays cards for $.15 total in a lot. I got the Gary Carter’s in a lot for $.34. I purchased the Juan Nieves for $.15 and the Claudell Washington for $.11.
I got the 6 card Cleveland Indians lot for $.55 and the Rafael Palmeiro with the above 1987 Donruss card. So some nice and cheap cards from the overproduction era, who would have guessed.
