- “One of Terry’s most impressive efforts of 1972 occurred in Cleveland, July 11th. He relieved Rich Gossage with one out in the 7th inning and hurled the final 2 2/3 innings of the game. He was credited with his 12th save of the season, protecting Chisox’ 4-3 victory which was credited to Gossage. Terry had his best curveball of the season that game, he allowed Tribe only one hit and fanned three in his short stint.”
