Happy Birthday AJ!
When AJ was playing I will always remember this stat: he was often the current MLB leader in swinging at the first pitch to him, on a % basis. My team’s (Tigers) radio announcer would mention this a couple times per season during his years on the White Sox. I have always wondered what his final total was in his career in this small statistic, and how it compares to contemporary and historical players. But I have no idea how to look this up. Or maybe the patience/time to dive into Fangraphs, or somewhere, that would hold such info.
ReplyDeleteI recently made a small AJ rainbow, of his 2013 S1 card. It will be up on my blog soon.
That stat sounds about right. It sounds very AJ.
